Course Description:
BSI’s “Six Sigma Principles for Improvement of Management Systems” course provides a high-level introduction to the relationship between management systems and business improvement with Six Sigma. This course gives a concise overview of the Six Sigma process including its relationship to management systems including ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 27001 (ISMS), and ISO 20000 (ITMS). In two days, discussions will focus on methodologies employed, deployment approaches, and benefits to a management system that can be achieved using the Six Sigma principles. Students will learn how the Six Sigma process drives organizational improvement, program and project success, and how Six Sigma DMAIC methodology can be employed to analyze return on investment before project launch.

Prerequisite
This is an introductory course designed for individuals with little or no previous knowledge of Six Sigma methodology. Some previous knowledge of management systems would be useful.
