This 2-hour eLearning course is designed to provide students with a working understanding of the basics of the root cause analysis process.  The course covers key concepts and methodologies developed and used by the quality management industry to solve complex problems that can impact customer satisfaction and the bottom line. The “8 Discipline Approach” (8D) is explained in detail using case study information that provides students with a strong understanding of how 8D can be applied to both the manufacturing and service industries.  Additional problem solving tools, such as process mapping and Pareto Analysis, are also discussed.

The course includes interactive graphics, animations, and a 40-question quiz designed to test students’ knowledge of the root cause analysis process.
