BSI has one of the largest United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) approvals in the UK.
We can assist with design reviews and prototype or pre-production testing to simplify conformance.
BSI can identify technical requirements, product testing and certification schemes for most countries in the world. If we aren't already part of a certification scheme, we'll investigate joining it to help you.
We have reciprocal agreements to accept our test reports with many countries including; Japan, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, EU member states, China and Russia.
In the UK, we perform testing for a variety of government departments, regulatory bodies and trade associations, such as number plate testing for the Department for Transport (DfT) and cables testing for the British Approvals Service for Cables (BASEC).
Certification
The Kitemark® is a registered certification mark owned and operated by BSI Product Services. The Kitemark® is one of the most respected quality marks in the world, demonstrating that a product conforms to rigorous standards and specifications and ensuring that vital safety and performance requirements are met.
BSI Product Services can also help you to meet your CE marking requirements with our Notified Body status for 17 EU Directives – including construction products, medical devices and personal protective equipment.

BSI Product Services has the capability to test a huge variety of industrial and consumer products such as construction, fire safety, electrical, electronic and engineering products and medical devices. Many of our test facilities have UKAS accreditation.
