BSI BenchMark is much more in-depth than a conventional assessment. With a conventional assessment there are no pre-arranged questions, Client Managers work from the clauses of a particular standard and there is no scoring available, only observations and non-compliances.
However, BSI BenchMark can be integrated with your existing management systems and your own requirements to give you an assessment that is tailored to exactly match your needs. Questions are used to review the maturity of your management system and following the review you are given a score that indicates where your organization’s main strengths and weaknesses are. This will allow your management to allocate resources and plan future improvements.

We can offer training courses to this premium service and these can be pre, mid and/or post assessment delivery.
The training courses pre and mid assessment will enable you to get support on known weak areas in advance of certification.
For post assessment training, we offer in-house ‘improvement workshops’ with facilitators who carry out tailored courses. This will help you to develop improvement action plans so that you can make positive changes to your organization to enhance your performance and scores for the following year.

Certification to this premium service is simple and we will guide you through every step.
1. Make contact
Get in touch with us and let us know what you need so that we can sort out the best services for your business. We’ll then discuss with you whether you want to continue with the conventional assessment route or opt for this premium service.
2. Meet your assessment team and scope out the project
We’ll assign you a co-ordinating Client Manager to discuss the scope of the project. This Client Manager will be your main point of contact through the process – and beyond. They will need to understand your business objectives and risk profile and will outline the elements of the project, including the question sets and scoring methodology.
3. Review and assessment
We’ll do a review with your senior management and assess your organization thoroughly to see whether their expectations correspond to actual company practice.
4. Reporting and presentation
When enough evidence has been gathered, a closing meeting will follow to identify any strengths, weaknesses, risks and opportunities for improvement. At this time, final scores will be presented in a visual representation of your organization’s performance. This will also enable you to make detailed judgements on the scores. Following this meeting a detailed executive report will be sent to you.
5. Award and certification
Once the assessment has been successfully completed, we’ll issue a certificate of registration (if applicable), clearly explaining the scope of your management system. You will also be given an award acknowledging your performance levels.
6. Appraisal
This includes a facilitated internal review workshop which enables senior management to appraise their performance and set targets for the following year. Your co-ordinating Client Manager will also arrange a follow-up visit to you make sure you remain compliant, and support you in the continual improvement of your systems.
